Blog #8

Blog #8 Should re-wilding species be keystone species? How could re-wilding be made successful?

I think re-wilding species is not a good idea. I think the rewilding of keystone species is very important. Without keystone species, we would not have the animals that we have today. Keystone species help to support the ecosystem of which they are a part of. I think the success of re-wilding is up to the humans who destroy the environment. Destroying trees and other natural environments for land is not going to help re-wilding at all. A good example is the prairie dog. If they become extinct, all the species that rely on them for food are going to become extinct as well, unless they adapt.
